Tell it to the Jack O' Lantern

Why have you been out of touch with someone who once played a prominent role in your life? Was it your idea or theirs?

Perhaps one of your adult children is pathologically critical of you, or compulsively invents fiction about abuse that they apparently endured at your hands.

Perhaps a parent has been overly-involved in your life to the point that you could no longer be the best version of yourself for your own family.

Is there a sibling that spins narratives and stirs up drama at every conceivable opportunity, or an overbearing grandparent, or a passive-aggressive ex that drove you out of your skull, or a whole family tree that can’t keep its nose out of your business? Or did you have a best friend that just couldn’t handle the betrayal when you finally achieved something great, or when you were finally in a romantic relationship that was wonderful and exiting?

Is there someone whose violence and/or aggression you want to turn your back on and walk away from without looking back, or that you don't want back in you life or in your own home, around your own family? Is there someone else that you simply don’t speak of?

If you want, you can speak of them here. The rule is, we don’t judge or assume that we know the whole story, we only share the things that we can relate to each other on.

If you want, you can send all of your negative vibes to the Jack O’ Lantern, have him eat it for you and walk away! We won’t judge.
